"April 2 marks the World Autism Awareness Day!
The establishment of this day by the UN General Assembly serves to spread information about autism and to raise public’s awareness.
One of our main goals is to create equal opportunities for everyone to receive affordable and quality education, to provide a system of education that will be tailored to the different needs of the individual.
This is the goal of the Inclusive Learning Program, which is implemented throughout our country. Under this program, the Ministry is actively working to develop an integrated classroom model to support students with an autism spectrum and offers students a variety of services and to integrate students into the active teaching process.
I would like to sincerely thank all those who contribute to the development of inclusive education in Georgia, those who ensure the right to education of students with special educational needs and their integration into society.
I believe that with joint efforts we will be able to overcome all the challenges facing inclusive education in Georgia. "
