Teachers were actively involved in the vaccination process. Voluntary vaccination of teachers over the age of 55 was held at the Republic Hospital today, which was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli together with the Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli thanked the teachers for the social responsibility they demonstrated and noted that the immunization of teachers in Tbilisi and the regions should be actively continued, which eventually creates a safe environment at schools.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli stated, that returning the learning process to its natural environment is an important achievement and needs to be maintained at all costs. Therefore, it is even more necessary for the public to follow the regulations of the Ministry of Health so that students can complete the semester in their classrooms.
According to Ekaterine Tikaradze, it is important that the educational process is safe for children and teachers. The Minister appealed to the teachers above 55 to become more active and create a safe learning environment through immunization.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Ekaterine Tikaradze once again asked each citizen to support the children and strictly observe the established norms as established by the medical experts.
Furthermore, Minister Chkhenkeli thanked the teachers for their invaluable efforts during the pandemic.
