The gradual voluntary vaccination of schoolteachers continues in the regions of Georgia.
To prevent co-infection, teachers in Imereti and Guria regions were vaccinated today in relevant medical institutions. Teachers believe that vaccination is the only way to reduce the further spread of the virus. Consequently, with favourable situation, there will be less demand to transition to distance learning.
Despite the holidays, intensive testing of teachers and faculty members is still active. Simultaneous vaccination and testing of teachers ensures that students will be able to complete the school year safely in their natural learning environment.
The vaccination is completely voluntary. Vaccine applicants register individually on the specially designated portal, provided by the Ministry of Health. School administrations across the country are ready to assist those who wish to register on the portal.
