Owing to the decision of the Coordination Council, the educational process will be resumed on May 13 in all educational institutions of Georgia.
A number of measures have been taken by both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to resume the learning process. Mandatory testing of teachers and school administration representatives was resumed throughout Georgia, in conjunction with disinfecting the educational buildings. Additionally, voluntary vaccination of teachers is being intensively carried out in Tbilisi and the regions.
Despite the increased statistics of the infected people, all favourable conditions are created at schools to prevent the further spread of the virus. With the resumption of education, supervisory control by the Ministry will be tightened again. In order to ensure security, the monitoring of educational institutions will be actively continued.
As before the holidays, the parents still have the option to choose a distance learning form. Parents who want the student to continue their education in a remote format should contact the school administration and register on the website of LEPL - Education Management Information System - https://online.emis.ge.
At the same time, the teachers who are in the risk group are given the opportunity, on the basis of the relevant medical report, to apply to the school administration to continue working in a remote format.
