With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the 11th International Education Exhibition - 2021 was opened, which will be held online on May 27-28.
All interested individuals will have the opportunity to participate in a remote event for the duration of two days through a specially created portal: https://educationfair.ge/. Furthermore, the public will get acquainted with the programs of both universities and vocational education institutions, in conjunction with receiving valuable information about scholarships and opportunities to study abroad.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held at the Exhibition Center - ExpoGeorgia and was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Education and Science of Georgia, Nunu Mitskevicho and Tamar Kitiashvili.
In her speech, Nunu Mitskevichi emphasized the importance of the International Education Exhibition in increasing access to higher education and informing young people, noting that Georgia already has access to internationally recognized programs, including the American Engineering and Technology Accreditation Council (ABET). In addition, a variety of exchange programs are available: EU program Erasmus +, DAAD scholarship programs, etc.
Moreover, Tamar Kitiashvili highlighted the wide choice of programs in the field of vocational education and stressed that vocational education is available to people of any age, including adults, who are offered state-certified training programs. According to her, the quality of training curricula has improved drastically in recent years. As a result, today the vocational education system offers people with improved vocational programs of European standards. Additionally, all programs are implemented in cooperation with the private sector, which is crucially important in terms of graduate employment.
This year the exhibition will host 113 participants from 16 countries. Among them are representatives of Georgia, France, Spain, Latvia, the Netherlands, Germany, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Italy, Turkey, Austria, Great Britain, Lithuania, Greece, Hungary and Poland.
The exhibition will also include simultaneous events in the form of public lectures and presentations. The International Education Exhibition is organized annually by the Exhibition Centre and its main goal is to promote the development of the educational sector in Georgia.
