Fun and informative online events were held at schools to inform the students about the opportunities of vocational education and different professions.
The activities involved 800 students from 40 general education institutions, who were introduced to the specifics of different vocations, the educational process of colleges and the working principles of various companies. In addition, the individuals were given the opportunity to get information about the vocations of interest to them and to meet with specialists working in the field.
The events were organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Georgian Employers' Association. The Goodwill Training Centre and Colleges Icarus and Horizon were actively involved in organizing online activities for students.
It should be noted that student vocational orientation is one of the important components of the joint project of the Georgian Employers' Association (GEA) and its partner German organization (BWMV e.V.) - "Vocational Education and Partnership Project in the South Caucasus". The project has been supported by the German government since 2017 and its main goal is to increase the competitiveness of young people in the labour market and the involvement of the private sector in the vocational education system.
