From the new academic year, the population of Kvemo Kartli region will be able to receive vocational education in Marneuli, in the modern educational space of Modus College.
Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia met with the heads, partners and employers of the college and discussed with them the challenges and business needs in the region. Representatives of the Sector Skills Organization - Agro Duo - spoke about the experience gained in cooperating with companies and colleges in other regions.
Tamar Kitiashvili noted that the ground is already strong enough for the country to share more responsibilities in terms of vocational education between the private and public sectors, because it is the close partnership of these sectors that can achieve high quality education and meet the needs of the economy. Many successful examples and experiences of cooperation have been accumulated in vocational education.
From September, Modus College will offer seven vocational education programs in agriculture, IT, accounting and other areas, as well as various training programs.
