Professional Education Quality will be improved

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze and United Nations Development Programme Resident Representative in Georgia Jamie McGoldrick met the directors of professional education institutions and present them 750 text-books. The meeting was attended by the representatives of European Union and UNDP.

The text-books were edited and published by UNDP in the scope of initiative financed by European Union. The new text-books are intended for 9 professional education programmes.

By the announcement of UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia Jamie McGoldrich: “New text-books will improve the educational process and professional education quality.”

The text-books were approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

,, Professional education text-books should be in compliance with demands of local labor market and should be based on international experience” – announced the Deputy Minister Irine Kurdadze.

Professional education development is supported by UNDP and EU. The total cost of their programme is 4.4 million EUR.  The programme is composed of 3 components: improvement of the infrastructure, micro financing and development of professional education.
