In order to interest young people in science, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is planning a special event in the Adjara region called "Blue Maritime Policy", which will be held in the open air on September 21 in Batumi.
The spectacular event will be held within the framework of the project "Science Calendar - 2021" and includes such important issues as: popularization of the study of biodiversity, ecological and social issues of the Black Sea and coastline. The event will include scientific and educational activities that will interest young people in science and increase their motivation for scientific research. In particular, it is planned to present the latest research on the Black Sea, as well as conducting various conferences, workshops, exhibitions, including photo exhibitions, fun experiments, and etc.
It is important that, together with scientists, professors and experts, the winners of the scientific competitions held within the framework of the project "Science Calendar - 2021" will be involved in activities that cover all the issues related to the Black Sea. Young people and stakeholders will receive information directly from professionals about the importance of living in a maritime country.
Regarding the preparatory work, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nunu Mitskevichi met with the representatives of the universities and research institutions participating in the event and discussed the organizational issues that will ensure the holding of the event at a high level.
It is important that the event will be held on the boulevard near Batumi State University, where science pavilions will be located for visitors of all ages.
Together with the Ministry, the event is attended by the country's leading higher education institutions - TSU, Iliauni, GTU, Caucasus International and Batumi State Universities, as well as Batumi State Maritime Academy, Batumi Navigation Training University, Batumi State Art University, Batumi Botanical Garden, Ivane Beritashvili Experimental Biomedicine Center, Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology and representatives of various international and local organizations.
