Registration for vocational education programs starts on July 12 and will continue until August 20. Registration is possible online, on the website - vet.emis.ge, as well as in resource centres and institutions implementing vocational education programs throughout Georgia.
By 2021, public and private vocational schools across Georgia will be accepting vocational students for more than a hundred different programs.
A new rule for enrolment at vocational programs has been developed, according to which, for the first time this year, admissions will be possible not only in public, but in all private institutions. Thus, all authorized, including private institutions can register students only through a single admission, via a common platform.
The new approach will increase access to vocational education and ensure the involvement of all stakeholders in vocational education, as well as address the individual needs of those wishing to pursue vocational education programs.
In 2021, the number of integrated programs has also increased, allowing individuals with basic education to receive a full general education in addition to vocational education.
A variety of mechanisms will be used in the process of enrolling applicants, which, given the specifics of the programs, provides a much more flexible approach to student selection and evaluation.
Please note that in 2021, only those wishing to enrol for higher vocational programs will have to pass the vocational testing organized by the National Center for Assessment and Examinations. As for admission to other programs, vocational education institutions, together with partner organizations, including employers, themselves provide for the organization of the student selection process.
