Owing the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, on September 21, Batumi will host a scientific event "Blue Maritime Policy", which aims to interest young people, especially students, in marine sciences.

Nunu Mitskevichi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, who is on an official visit to Adjara region, together with Maia Khajishvili, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara, met with representatives of universities, research institutions and official institutions participating in the scientific event.

Young people will take part in activities that address important and problematic issues related to the Black Sea. Trainings on marine waste harm issues, marine surveys, sea voyages, screening of training videos, seabed reporting, and other cognitive activities are planned for them.

The event will also present the results of the latest scientific research on the Black Sea and the coastline, will hold exhibitions, presentations, intellectual games, experiments, workshops, coastline cleaning action and more.

Owing to the initiative of the Ministry and with the support of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, a spectacular scientific event will be held on the boulevard of Batumi Shota Rustaveli University, with the participation of leading higher education institutions and relevant agencies. In particular, TSU, Iliauni, GTU, Caucasus International and Batumi State Universities, as well as Batumi State Maritime Academy, Batumi Navigation Training University, Batumi State University of Arts, Batumi Botanical Garden, Ivane Beritashvili Experimental Biomedicine Center, Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Various Biology and Representatives of international and local organizations.
