In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the workplace, the training of labour safety ambassadors has begun. Students selected for the project study online. As part of the preparatory course, they will be introduced to the main aspects defined by the Resolution N322 of the Government of Georgia on Isolation and Quarantine Rules and will receive detailed information on sectoral recommendations. After the training, the volunteers will be involved in the process of raising the awareness of employers in the workplace together with labour inspectors.
Before the trainings, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nunu Mitskevichi and the Head of the Labour Inspection Service Beka Peradze addressed the project participants.
The volunteer project aims to improve control over the implementation of general and sectoral recommendations developed to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus in the workplace. Participants for the Occupational Safety Ambassador were selected from higher education institutions accredited in Georgia.
