First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Seperteladze attended the testing of Resource Officers and got familiarized with surveillance system installed in the school.
From the beginning of new academic year the resource officers will enter all 42 public schools of Kutaisi.
On August 26, 300 applicants will take tests. After interviews they will have 3 weeks training at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Academy where they take courses of professional skills and psychology.
In the scope of the President’s initiative “Safe School” program certified resource officers will work at all public schools of Kutaisi. In every school there will be one group of resource officers: two men and one woman. The resource officers will guarantee the safety in schools.
In the framework of “Safe School” program, 16 surveillance cameras were installed in the public school №1 of Kutaisi. The cameras will monitor the indoor and outdoor sites of schools.
