In order to increase cooperation and access to vocational education, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia. The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Education and Science, Mikheil Chkhenkeli and the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ruslan Abashidze.
Within the framework of the Memorandum, several important initiatives and projects will be implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry and the Government of Abkhazia, which will support Maximum involvement in vocational education. In addition, in order to create employment / self-employment opportunities for these individuals under the Memorandum, support will be provided for the development and implementation of vocational education programs and the strengthening of international and private sector cooperation.
The signed memorandum also envisages strengthening cooperation for the development of various professional fields (wood processing, forest management, working on clay, etc.), using all possible resources and involving existing organizations and sectoral associations in the development and implementation of new professional programs.
