The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended the presentation of the School Principal Standard. The normative document was prepared by the specialists and experts of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development and it envisages the standards of  professional and practical skills of the school principal. 

The principals of public and private schools, teachers, lawyers, experts and psychologists, representatives of Education Resource Centers, MES Public Law Entities worked on the creation of the document.  Vanderbilt University and Harvard University Professors have been invited as special consultants funded by the Education Management Project, USAID.

The National Center for Teacher Professional Development is planning to create supplementary text-books for principals.
