The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, Maria Elena Al-Gabre, and discussed future plans for cooperation in higher education and science.
In order to deepen relations in the field of education and science, it is planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation between Georgia and the Philippines. Under the memorandum, exchange programs for students and researchers will be launched.
The parties briefed each other on the activities carried out in their countries during the pandemic, both in general and higher education institutions. The Minister noted that now it is especially important to vaccinate, follow the health recommendations and thus prevent the spread of the virus.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli wished the newly appointed ambassador success in their future activities.
