Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini held a meeting with Alina Romanowski, Assistant Secretary of Educational and Cultural Affair of the US Department of State; HE John Bass, US Ambassador in Georgia; Spencer Boyer, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, and other members of the delegation. During the meeting, it was decided to expand the number of the ex-change programs and to double the number of high school students sent to USA in 2010.
“US government is closely coordinating with the Georgian Government in the field of education, including ex-change programs, and this is very important for us”- the Minister said.
The delegation wished the Minister success in his work and expressed the readiness to help in implementation of the reforms.
