Owing to the foundation of the resource office, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Giorgi Amilakhvari hosted resource officers, psychologists, and social workers.

The minister gave a speech to the attending public, and greatly emphasized the importance of the resource office in terms of ensuring a safe educational environment in schools, and presented certificates of gratitude to psychologist, resource officers and social workers for their effortless work. 

Giorgi Amilakhvari: "As a result of the large-scale initiatives implemented in recent years, today the Resource Service is one of the outstanding, student-oriented and important institutions in the education system, which takes care of the safety of our children on a daily basis. 

I would like to thank each officer, psychologist, and social worker for their selfless work. It is these people who play the greatest role in creating a healthy, caring and friendly environment at schools, and thus allows our students to fully reveal and realize their abilities and knowledge." 

Gela Geladze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Sophio Abulashvili, Acting Head of the Human Resources Service of the Educational Institution, and heads of various areas of the service attended the awarding ceremony. 

The mission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is to be a more prevention- oriented institution that will effectively deal with the challenges of the school environment in conjunction with risk management and its mitigation. To achieve this goal, the Resource Office developed and implemented qualitatively different approaches and began a significant, systemic reform process. Both physical and psychosocial security components were strengthened. It is through the aforementioned mechanisms that the service of the law enforcement officer managed to mitigate and in cases respond to violence. 

The establishment day of the educational institution's mandatory resource office is celebrated on April 15 of every year.
