The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, held an introductory meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia, Hadas Ester Meitzad, where the parties discussed the current and future cooperation issues between Georgia and Israel in the field of education and science.
Giorgi Amilakhvari thanked the Israeli ambassador for the long-term partnership and noted that with the support of the Israeli government, a number of effective steps are being taken in the development of the education and science system in Georgia.
The minister spoke about the importance of implementing joint initiatives at all three levels of education and focused special attention on the issues of cooperation in the direction of vocational education and the development and implementation of joint STEM programs.
On the other hand, the Israeli Ambassador, said that Israel will actively continue to support Georgia's education system.
