The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, accompanied by the Chairman of the Education and Science Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, is currently on a working visit to Edinburgh, Scotland.

Minister Amilakhvari is actively participating in the ongoing 'Going Global 2023' higher education conference organized by the British Council. This conference brings together education ministers and leaders from around the world to discuss challenges in higher education, explore potential solutions, and discuss prospects for future collaboration.

The Higher Education Conference was inaugurated by Gillian Keegan, the Minister of Education of Great Britain, and featured plenary sessions on various topics in which Giorgi Amilakhvari actively participated.

During his visit to Edinburgh, Minister Amilakhvari is scheduled to conduct meetings with fellow ministers, rectors of various universities, and other education leaders.
