Students were gathered in the village of Ikalto in Kakheti as part of the thematic camps project.
This time, the meeting with camp participants was led by First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsuladze, along with deputies Nodar Papukashvili and Gela Geladze. They engaged in discussions with students about youth-supporting initiatives and various current issues.
Ministry representatives listened to the perspectives and ideas of the camp participants regarding improvements to youth policy.
Vakhtang Baakashvili, the head of the Youth Agency, also participated in the meeting.
Following the meeting, historian Nukri Shoshiashvili and political scientist Luka Ekhvaia conducted an informational session with the youth. They covered important topics such as the preservation of national values, globalization, and changes in the international order.
It's worth noting that this year's thematic camp in Ikalto welcomed its third group of students. The project will run until the end of June and will host a total of about 500 students across 8 sessions.
Thematic camps are being held for the first time in 2024 under the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia and organized by the Youth Agency.
The goal of these camps is to encourage the realization of young people's potential, strengthen their democratic and patriotic values, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Throughout the thematic camps, young people have the opportunity to participate in discussions on global and local challenges. In addition to various educational and recreational activities, public lectures on a wide range of important topics are scheduled for the students.
