On July 18, 2024, a meeting of the Board of the Georgian-French University took place under the chairmanship of Aleksandre Tsuladze, the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia, along with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Georgia.
During the meeting, the board highlighted that the Georgian-French University project is a vital instrument for advancing the internationalization policy of higher education. The discussions emphasized the project's significance, its results, and the increasing momentum of Georgian-French relations.
Mr. Tsuladze and the Ambassador, along with members of the Administrative Council, addressed the necessity of expanding the university's mandate to integrate components of vocational education and research. They also reviewed the university's initiatives in developing new, high-quality higher education programs.
The board members received updates on the Georgian-French University project from both Georgian and French representatives, including the potential accession of new universities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants underscored the importance of establishing a Fund based on the French-Georgian University and reached an agreement to ensure the Fund's support.
