New stadium is one of the largest stadiums among the schools of Tbilisi. It was constructed by the order of Education and Science Infrastructure Development Agency of MES. 40,000GEL was spent for the construction works.

In the framework of the President’s National Mega-program “Iakob Gogbashvili – Rehabilitation of Public Schools”, construction and rehabilitation works are almost finished in 317 public schools throughout Georgia. 108 schools of Tbilisi will be rehabilitated. Construction of stadiums is already finished in 24 schools. Refurbishing of 67 gyms is underway. 5 of them are finished.

The stadium of Tbilisi Public School №133 as well as other rehabilitated school sport infrastructure throughout Georgia is in compliance with modern standards. Training of adults in different types of sports is available there. Physical fitness lessons will be replaced with the sports classes from the new academic year. At the first level, the process will be carried out in the schools where the environment meets the hygienic norms and the stadiums and gyms are refurbished.

Making the school children interested in sports and healthy way of life is announced as one of the priorities. Sport leagues will be established from the new academic year. Competitions will be held among the schools, regions and cities. Schoolchildren with distinguished sport talent will be encouraged as it happens in the school Olympiads.
