Aleksandre Tsuladze, the candidate for Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of Georgia, addressed a joint sitting of the Committees on Education, Science and Youth Affairs, Culture, Sport, Health, and Social Affairs. In his speech, Tsuladze outlined ongoing and planned reforms in education, science, and youth development, presenting initiatives that span all levels of education.

Highlighting the government’s prioritization of education, Tsuladze noted the significant increase in the Ministry’s annual budget over the past decade.

He stated:
"Education is a top priority for our government, as evidenced by the Ministry’s budget, which has increased by 300%—or fourfold—over the past 12 years. Next year, the budget will reach a historic milestone, exceeding GEL 3 billion for the first time."

Mr. Tsuladze emphasized that the government’s program for education, science, and youth aligns with national goals, fostering a spirit of patriotism, respect for family values, and the development of democratic principles. He also underscored the importance of ensuring equal access to quality education throughout the country and detailed steps being taken in this direction.

“Our highest priority is to provide access to quality education nationwide, strengthen a knowledge-based society, promote science aligned with economic needs, and empower young people. To achieve this, the Ministry is dedicated to an innovative, holistic, and results-oriented management system, focusing on three main areas:

  1. Realizing the full potential of children, students, and young people at all levels of education.
  2. Supporting the professional and career development of educators, professors, scientists, researchers, and all individuals within the educational and scientific systems.
  3. Strengthening educational institutions through good governance and accountability.

Our policies aim to cultivate the potential of every citizen, instill a sense of dignity and national pride, and address modern challenges while driving economic progress through education," Tsuladze remarked.
