Resource officers will ensure safety in all Public Schools of Batumi from the new academic year. Deputy Ministers of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Seperteladze and George Chakhnashvili introduced the three-person group of resource officers in Batumi Public School №3.
44 resource officers will work in Batumi Public School №18. All of them passed the two-week training program in the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In the future, resource officers will be able to provide the school children with the first aid as well as prevent conflict and crime. This innovation fulfills the program that envisages development of the resource officers’ program.
In the scope of the Safe School Program, modern system of safety is installed in schools. The system is equipped with the different number of video cameras according to the space of the school. 17 surveillance cameras are installed in the internal and outward perimeters of Batumi Public School №3. That means that safety of the school children will be protected as they will always be under the supervision of elders.
