In the scope of an official visit to the Republic of Estonia, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini held a meeting with Estonian students and representatives of NGOs at Tartu University. Minister gave a lecture on The Second Wave of Democratic Reforms in Georgia and familiarized audience with the current reforms of the system. Minister also spoke about the meaning of the project Teach And Learn With Georgia that envisages recruiting native English language speaker teachers.
Meeting with the Rector of Tartu University, Alar Karis was held after the lecture. Participants of this meeting spoke about the future cooperation and enhancement of the students’ exchange program. Currently, 10 Georgian students study in Tartu University.
Sharing Estonia’s experience in natural sciences is very important for Georgia as well. Dimitri Shashkini visited Kivalina Gymnasium and got familiarized with the latest achievements and teaching methodology of cybernetics’ cabinet.
