Minister visited IT demo center of Estonia today. Estonia is the leading country of EU in IT.
Around 30 IT companies are included in demo center. Among them are Microsoft, HP, Microline and etc. Two parties came to an agreement on opening special courses in cyber security. Estonia will provide Georgia with assistance in this field.
“Estonia has great achievements in IT. Opening special courses in cyber security based on Georgian-Estonian agreement is very important. As we are permanently under the pressure and Russian Federation often interferes in our internet resources, preparing Georgian specialists with the support of Estonian colleagues is especially important. They will ensure security of our web-sites” – announced Dimitri Shashkini.
Demo center introduced significant changes that were implemented from 2000 up to present through developing electronic regime of informational base either in civil and education systems.
ID cards are the only document including all necessary information about the person, medical history, bank accounts and even balance of parking.
School electronic diaries and journals were presented as well. all schoolchildren as well as parents are able to find any kind of information through internet.
We remind you, that MES has already created electronic bases for the schools as well as the schoolchildren. Ministry is going to develop electronic journals in the nearest future. Sharing Estonian experience is very important for MES.
