The Eighth Regional Summit and Seminars for Higher Educational Institutions

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia together with the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement continues a series of Regional Academic Summits and trainings for higher educational institutions in the framework of the Twinning/CEIBAL project.

On the 13th of October, the Eighth Regional Academic Summit on “Professional Education and Employability” was held at the Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University. The summit was opened by the Rector of Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University, Teona Khupenia. The opening speech was followed by the presentations of Mrs. Uta Bayer, German Business Association Georgia (DWVG), Thierry Come (CEIBAL/Twinning expert), Director of Master “European and International Studies” at the University of Reims and President of the Statute Commission and Andreas Knorr (CEIBAL/Twinning expert), Deutsche Hochschule für Verwaltungswissenschaften (DHV) Speyer , Chair of Economics (National and International Economic Policy). After the Academic Summit on October 13-15 seminar on the same topic will be delivered by Professor Thierry Come, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Knorr.

The guest experts will share their French and German experiences on the topic. More than 30 participants from different HEIs are registered for the seminar.

The Twinning-Project is based on the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) and is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (MoES) in cooperation with German and French partners.

The overall objective of the twinning project is to fully implement the Bologna process action lines within the relevant institutions and to prepare for integration in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
