In the frame of the week, reading in public We Together Read Akaki’s Writings was held in Kutaisi Tsereteli State University. Students of the university as well as the schoolchildren of Kutaisi Public School took part in the event. Teachers, professors and representatives of intelligence of Kutaisi spoke about the works of the poet and the writer Akaki Tsereteli. They underlined his role as the public figure. Documentary film about Akaki Tsereteli and the audio record of the voice of Akaki was presented at the event.

Week dedicated to 170^th anniversary of Akaki Tsereteli was opened with the scientific conference at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Events are being successfully held in the scope of the week at different higher and general educational institutions. Following activities were planned and implemented: conferences, writing and art competitions, as well as theatrical performances and excursions in the house-museum of Akaki Tsereteli.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Irine Kurdadze and the representatives of local self-governance took part in the event, held in Kutaisi Tsereteli State University.
