The President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili attended the presentation of the new course of the Operator of the Construction Technique and Welder in the Vocational education and Training Center “Spectri”. The President got familiarized with the ongoing programs in different specialties.

Classrooms of the new course are equipped with the latest simulators of Caterpillar and the modern welding devises of Lincoln Electric. Unique technique that has no analogue in Georgia was purchased in the scope of the USAID Vocational Education project.

Development of the new course was stipulated by the President’s recommendation concerning the restricted safety measures of the construction technique management. The Education Institution will prepare the professionals complying with the international standards and ensure their employment.

Following education programs operate in “Spectri”: road builder, carpenter, bricklayer, plasterer, sanitary-engineer, circuit installer of lightning and power mains, auto mechanic, refrigerating system and air conditioning system technician, IT operator, accountant-book keeper, office manager, personal computer server and etc. USAID Project of Vocational Education as well as Norwegian program Education for Democracy is being carried out.

“Spectri” cooperates with Georgian and foreign businessmen, development companies, producers and other sectors. Partners and potential employers of “Spectri” are: Georgian Employers Association, Roads Department of Georgia, company “Apek Service”, Road Company “Tbilisi, “Casper Georgia” and etc.
