Refurbishing of the school canteens still continues. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze opened new canteen in the Public School №64.

Canteen of the Public School №64 was not functioning for several years. In the scope of the Safe and Healthy School concept, initiated by MES, company Safe Nutrition refurbished the canteen and equipped it with the modern technique.

Calculation will be carried out with the credit cards in the Public School №64 as well as other school canteens that comply with modern standards. The schoolchildren were provided with the credit cards free of charge by TaoPrivatBank. The schoolchildren will be able to use these cards only in the school canteens in order to buy food.

New project that was piloted in several schools was positively evaluated by the schoolchildren and parents. Providing the canteens with the healthy food and abolishing cash are very important as these innovations decrease conflicts concerning money between the schoolchildren.

The project is being implemented in many schools of Georgia and it will be still held in the future. Canteens with the healthy food will be developed in all schools soon.
