Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini personally congratulated the Children With Special Needs of Public School №200 on St. George’s Day and presented them with different gifts. Actor Duta Skhirtladze and anchor of the popular TV program “Vano’s Show” visited the children along with the Minister. Children represented their handmade items to the guests and presented performance.
Dimitri Shashkini fulfilled long-term wish to 8 years old Beka Bandzeladze, diseased with autism and arranged meeting with Duta Skhirtladze. Beka wrote his wish in his story.
“I am glad, I have opportunity to visit these children and personally congratulate them on St. George’s Day. Inclusive education is one of the top priorities for us. Valuable membership of these children in the society is the most important” – noted Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini.
137 Children With Special Needs study in the School №200. 110 of them use the boarding-school service. Most of them spend holidays in the school. Children with physical, emotional, social, intellectual and linguistic problems study in this school.
Public School №200 is provided with all relevant conditions for the Children With Special Needs. Teachers teach them self-care and orientation in the society through individual Curriculum and their involvement in different activities. Teachers of this school support children’s integration in the society.
