Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Nodar Surguladze introduced three-person group of the Resource Officers to Poti Public School №2.
In parallel with Poti Public School №2, Resource Officers launched their activities in the Public Schools №1, №3, №4, №5, №6, №7, №8, №11, №12 and №15. They will cover all schools of Poti step by step.
In order to keep schools safe, Resource Officers commenced their activities in Tbilisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Gori, Kutaisi Public Schools from the new academic year. By the end of the year, Resource Officers will be introduced in all schools of Rustavi.
Three-person group, including one woman passed trainings in the Police Academy in the scope of Safe School concept. They mastered conflict solving skills. Resource Officers are responsible for preventing crime and providing the schoolchildren with any kind of aid. They are not allowed to punish the students, they should care for the safety of them.
Resource Officers, equipped with uniforms and modern devices, will be distributed in the special rooms. The new initiative being implemented in the Safe School concept, is designed to care for the safety of the schoolchildren.
