Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Irine Kurdadze and Director of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, Gia Mamulashvili attended the workshop on the development of the smartboards in the teaching process.
Teachers’ training in the innovative center of MES is being held step by step. They get used to the smartboards in the education process and get familiarized with the Georgian educational resources. From the next week, teachers will personally give classes on the smartboards in MES.
Interactive board is innovation not only in Georgia, but in the world market as well. The board is successfully used in European as well as American educational institutions. According to the researches, smartboards increase students’ engagement and academic achievements, reduce difficulties in absorbing the new material.
The board has unique opportunities. All operations are held electronically. It is used in teaching of any subject. The board offers functions of the virtual lab for the natural science classes. Board is connected with the computer in order to save all actions.
Teachers are able to hold testing through the smartboards and the schoolchildren check their answers with the remote control device. Modern electronic devises significantly simplify teaching/learning process.
