First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze, along with the representatives of the company “Gogli Mogli” opened another refurbished canteen at Tbilisi Public school №24 in the scope of the project, initiated by the President.

Refurbishment of the school canteens began in several pilot schools in the previous year in the frame of the Safe School concept and it is being successfully held the current year as well. Companies “Mega Food” and “Gogli Mogli” renovated and equipped the canteens with the modern technique and these companies provide them with the healthy food.

For the first time in Georgia, calculation is carried out in these modern canteens with the credit cards. The schoolchildren were provided with the credit cards by TaoPrivatBank free of charge. Parents will be able to transfer to these cards the desired sum and the children will use them only in the school canteens. Such opportunities decrease disagreements concerning cash. Abolishing cash and introducing credit card system is one of the top priorities of the Safe School program and is aimed to develop safe and healthy school concept.
