Classroom of Iranian Languages and Literature at Public School №1 of Tbilisi

Deputy Minister for Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze and Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia H.E. Mr. Majid Samadzadeh Saber visited Tbilisi public school № 1 and opened a classroom for Iranian Languages and Cultural there.
Persian language and literature was taught at public school №1 from 1979 to 2006. The school had close cooperation with Islamic Republic of Iran and its diplomatic representatives in Georgia. Joint cultural events were often held.
In academic year 2009-2010 Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia started teaching Persian language and literature at several public schools of Tbilisi.
Upon the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia teaching of Persian language at public school #1 of Tbilisi has been restored since December 1, 2010.
