Minister Awarded the Winners of International Olympiad

Minister of Education and Science Dimitri Shashkini presented the personal computers to the winners of the 7^th international Zhautikov Olimpiad 2011 held in Kazakhstan.

Team of Tbilisi boarding school of Physics and Mathematics “ Komarovi “ participated in international Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics held in Almaty . Georgian schoolchildren won in group and individual competitions:

Nika Begiashvili (12th grader)- Bronze Medal in Informatics;
Grigol Peradze (12the grader) - Bronze Medal in Physics;
Giga Gumberidze (12the grader) - Bronze Medal in Mathematics;
Bachana Kutsia (12the grader)- Bronze Medal in Mathematics;
Jimsher Skhirtladze ( tenth grader) - Bronze Medal in Informatics;

As to the group competition, the Georgian team took the fourth place.

This year, 46 teams and 296 individual contestants took part in the 7^th international Zhautikov Olympiad.

According to Minister Shashkini, the ministry will continue to support the gifted and successful schoolchildren in the future as well.
