Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini is paying an official visit to the U.K. Within the scope of the visit, Dimitri Shashkini signed the Memorandum of cooperation with the company McMillan Publishing. In the frame of the memorandum, Georgian schoolchildren will have the opportunity to study with the English language textbooks published by the world’s one of the best publishers.
According to the memorandum, McMillan Publishing is responsible to train all Georgian English language teachers and provide them with English language textbooks and supplementary materials free of charge.
For Georgian schoolchildren the price of the textbooks will be different from its original price, 10 GEL instead of 26 GEL.
The company McMillan Publishing was founded in 1843 by two Scottish brothers. It is the world’s one of the best publishing company. In 1869 McMillan Publishing opened its first branch in New York. By the end of the 19th century the company had its offices in Australia and India.
Nowadays McMillan Publishing is the third on the list of the world’s best publishers of English language textbooks and supplementary educational materials.
