The presentation of Master’s Program in Applied Biosciences was held in the scope of European Union’s project TEMPUS. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze and Ambassador of European Union H.E. Mr. Philip Dimitrov, the head of TEMPUS project, the rectors of higher education institutions, representatives of nongovernmental organizations and top officials of organizations working in the fields of bioscience, environmental protection, agrarian and nutrition biotechnologies. During the event the memorandum of cooperation was signed between universities and above mentioned organizations. 

The aim of the program is to promote the fields of bioscience and biotechnologies, to deepen the cooperation between institutions and to support the implementation of innovative educational programs.

For the first time in Georgia three higher education institutions Tbilisi State University, State Agrarian University and Akaki Tsereteli State University will start promoting the program at the same time. The universities will deepen cooperation with the representatives of industrial field.
