In order to deepen the cooperation between two countries in the field of education the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan signed a Memorandum on Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Armenia and Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The parties agree that collaboration between two countries in the field of education is very important. According to the Memorandum the higher education institutions of both countries will conduct joint researches and organize different joint projects. Both countries will promote the exchange of 10 students in accordance with state legislation.
In the scope of the event Dimitri Shashkini and Armen Ashotyan held working meeting. Ministers discussed the ongoing reforms in the education system of both countries. During his visit to Georgia the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan visited the general and higher education institutions of the country and got familiarized with the new projects and programs implemented in the scope of the reform.
