First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and Director of Ministry’s National Center for Teacher Professional Development Gia Mamulashvili held a briefing on concluding of the first round of Public Schools’ Principals Contest.
For the first time, the first round of the contest was organized with the help of the computer program. Each candidate took an individual test. They answered the questions on the following issues: normative base, organizing a learning process and its assessment according to the National Curriculum, financial management of the school, HR management and many others.
Test materials were available at the web site of the Ministry’s National Center for Teacher Professional Development. The test consisted of 100 questions. Apart from the acting school principals, citizens who have not worked as school principals also had an opportunity to participate in the contest.
Electronic registration of the participants took place from 25 February to 20 March. Candidates are from Tbilisi and regions of Georgia as well.
The contest is held in two rounds. The test results will be announced on 15 April, contestants who pass the first round, will be invited for the interview.
