By the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, original name “Tbilisi Classic Gymnasium“was returned to Tbilisi First Public school.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Koka Sepherteladze and First Deputy Chairman of Tbilisi City Assembly, Mamuka Akhvlediani, familiarized the principal of the school Amiran Jamagidze with the Minister’s decree on this decision and presented a new sign of the school to the schoolchildren and teachers.

While administering this decision, the Ministry took into account the request of the schoolchildren, teachers, school alumni and parents.

Tbilisi Classic Gymnasium is one of the oldest educational institutions in Georgia and many famous Georgian public figures studied there.
