Head of National Curriculum and Assessment Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia Natia Jokhadze and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italian Republic to Georgia H.E. Mr. Vittorio Sandalli signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister Koka Sepherteladze.
The Memorandum envisages the deepening of cooperation between Georgia and Italy in the field of general education; enhancement of Italian language and literature learning at general education institutions; support the collaboration between Georgian and Italian experts; the exchange of methodic and education materials; the development of joint educational projects and programs.
Teaching Italian as a foreign language will be introduced at general education institutions from the new academic year.
The joint group of Georgian and Italian experts will develop Italian language educational program.
