Dimitri Shashkini awarded the Successful Staff Members

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini held a meeting with the staff of the Ministry and awarded the successful staff members with Medals of Honor.

Medal of Honor was conferred to Chief Specialist of Public Relations Department, Natia Papava for a successful performance of her duties at work. She has been working for the Ministry for 25 years.

Medals of Honor have been also granted to:

  • Ghia Mamulashvili, Director of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development under Ministry;
  • Tsiuri Giorgadze, Senior Specialist, Office Documentation Division, Administration (Department);
  • Irma Dzidziguri, Chief Specialist, Budgetary Division, Economic Department;
  • Makvala Kurdghelia, Chief Specialist, General and Professional Education Development Department;
  • Amiran Jamagidze, Principal of Tbilisi Public School №1;
  • Marina Chaganava, Principal of Tbilisi Public School №94;
  • Genadi Margvelashvili, Principal of Kutaisi A. Razmadze Public school №41;
  • Aleksi Kalandaze, Teacher of Applied Art, Tbilisi Public School №161;
  • Maia Gabunia, Member of Logistics Group, National Examinations Center under Ministry;

Minister expressed gratitude to all successful staff members and talked about their role in education process.

Within the scope of the meeting, Minister Shashkini assessed the ongoing reforms in education system and informed the staff about the future plans. By the announcement of the Minister, all units of the Ministry play an important role in the process of implementing the reforms. He also emphasized a significance of engaging and informing society in the current developments of the system. By effectively fulfilling their assignments each coworker of the ministry greatly contributes to a successful implementation of the reforms; - noted the Minister.

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia meets his staff members on a daily basis and he plans to continue such meetings in the future as well.
