The Conference on English Language Teaching and International Exams

With the support of British Council the conference “English Language and International Qualification – the Road to the Future” was held. The conference was aimed to introduce English language and international exams programs of British Council to the policy makers of education field, English language teachers and service providers. The conference was hosted by the director of British Council. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia took part in the conference.

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili highlighted the importance of teaching English language in his speech at United Nations General Assembly in 2010. According to the Governmental Decree all graduates of the Higher Education Institutions should pass the exams in foreign language.

British Council has a great experience in organizing English language trainings for English language teachers and learners. British Council also carries out about 3000 international exams in a year.
