Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini met the representatives of the donor, international and local organizations working in the field of inclusive education. Among the organizations were: Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, USAID, UNICEF, World Vision International, Save the Children, Every Child, Open Society Foundation, Foundation” First Step”,  “Children  of Georgia” , Embassy of Poland to Georgia.

The aim of the working meeting was to review the ongoing programs in inclusive education and highlight the activities planned by the Ministry to further develop inclusive education.

Representatives of the donor organizations also expressed their thoughts and viewpoints in regard to implementing the future joint programs.
Such working meetings facilitate a more coordinated cooperation between the government and nongovernmental organizations.

Enhancing the inclusive education is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and is one of the components of the strategic plan. The government of Georgia implements many programs in this regard with the active involvement of the donor organizations.
