The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited a Data Processing Center of the Ministry which is equipped with the latest systems. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia observe the process of all exams held in the schools of Georgia with the help of the central server and audio equipment.
Data Processing Center of the Ministry provides safe and uninterrupted functioning of the computing and other supplementary equipments such as server, for example, this in turn, enables to create a unified data base system and manage it effectively.
In order to upgrade the IT infrastructure at school, IT specialists have been selected based on the open competition, overall, 300 contestants have been chosen and placed at 1520 exam sites of the schools. They have installed a local network and other necessary equipments at school.
The first exam in Georgian Language and Literature was held on May 23, exams are organized every day (on May 26 and on May 29 the schoolchildren had a break). On June 1, the twelfth graders will take a final exam in Math.
Today, the exam is organized in Chemistry. Based on the information and data collected at the Data Processing Center of the Ministry, one can state that the exams are being carried out successfully. As to the schoolchildren’s attitude to the exam process and to the tasks of the test, according to their announcements, the test tasks are quite easy.
Based on the analysis of the 5 exams, 20% of the schoolchildren showed a high level of knowledge at the exams; hence, they got high scores. It is also important that the schoolchildren of the non- Georgian schools demonstrated a high level of knowledge in Georgian Language.
