Public and Private School Students attended World Culture Lecture/Seminar

Representatives of National Curriculum and Assessment Centre under the Ministry of Education and Science held a meeting with students of IX, X, XI grades and teachers of Tbilisi and Georgian schools. Nodar Surguladze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science attended the meeting. 

On the initiative of UNESCO Chair in Intercultural Dialogue of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University, the World Culture head of the subject program in NCAC Vladimer Vardosanidze held a lecture/seminar for Public and Private school students on the topic Urban Lifestyle.

Meeting with students was aimed to popularize the new elective subject The World Culture. This subject will be implemented as an elective one on the X, XI and XII grades in general education institutions.

The meeting turned out interesting. The students expressed their special interest towards the new subject in their interactive talks. Students and their teachers actively were involved in discussions.

At the end of the 2010-2011 academic year the piloting of the new elective subject the World Culture will end in 12 Public and 2 Private schools of Tbilisi and regions of Georgia.

In June 2011 ultimate seminar of the World Culture as a new elective subject will be held.
