Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava and Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini opened Tbilisi Vocational Learning Information Center. The center is located in the building of Georgian Technical University and is supplied with modern technical equipments.
This center provides all interested persons with the relevant information on vocational education and assists the prospective students to get registered for the vocational programs. The Information center has employers’ data base and the graduates of the vocational educational programs can use it to find a job.
On the initiative of the Ministry, three Vocational Learning Information Centers have been opened to support vocational education; they are located in Tbilisi, Kobuleti and Kutaisi. These centers have been supplied with up-to-date technical equipments. The centers are staffed with qualified personnel.
Vocational Learning Information Centers have been established within the scope of the reforms implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in the field of vocational education.
Enhancing a Vocational education is one of the priorities of the Ministry. After graduating from the Vocational colleges, the students have a real chance of employment. Vocational colleges offer a wide range of the vocational programs in tourism, construction and service sectors.
