Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze attended the conference “The Child’s Right to Be Heard” organized by the Center for Women’s and Children’s Rights at the Office of Public Defender.
The conference was held in the frame of the project “Support of Legal Reform, Human and Minorities Rights” of the Council of Europe and was dedicated to Children’s International day.
The aim of the conference was to increase engagement of the children in the decision making process, especially in those processes that are connected to their education. One of the goals of the conference was to encourage the governmental agencies and institutions to get the children involved in developing and planning of the children’s programs.
The conference was attended by the schoolchildren from the regional and capital schools, school principals, MP-s, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs.
